Schuylerville is an East Bronx residential neighborhood of 1920s-1950s rowhouses, semi-attached two-family homes, and modest apartment buildings, many with small front porches and gardens reflecting the area's early suburban character. The 6 train at Buhre Avenue and Middletown Road stations connects to Manhattan via the IRT Pelham Line. Ridgewood

Ridgewood features orderly blocks of brick and limestone rowhouses, prewar tenements with decorative cornices, and multi-family buildings constructed between 1905 and 1925, making it one of Queens' most architecturally consistent neighborhoods. The M train runs through the heart of the area with stops at Seneca Avenue, Forest Avenue, and Fresh Pond Road, while the L train connects at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues.
