Description

Just reduced! Perched above Central Park and Frederick Douglass Circle, this bright two bedroom apartment has gleaming wood floors, a large living/dining room and a full kitchen just off the main space. The modern refrigerator, gas range and dishwasher all have stainless finishes with plenty of counter space and cabinets.

The two spacious bedrooms also overlook Central Park and the Circle and can both accommodate King-sized beds. A full bathroom with a tub and a half-bathroom round out the floorplan. There are plenty of closets including one in the great room, one in each bedroom and a large linen closet at the end of the hall.

The building is one of three that form the Towers on the Park Condominium located at the Northwest corner of Central Park. There are three front desks which are staffed 24-hours a day, a large maintenance staff and a management office located in one of the buildings. There is also a full supermarket in the building, a 24-hour deli across the street, two cafes on the circle, plenty of restaurants going up Frederick Douglass Boulevard, down Columbus Avenue and up and down Broadway and Amsterdam. Institutions in the area include Columbia University and Mt. Sinai hospitals.

Transportation is a particularly important feature of this property. In addition to the B and C subway lines directly below the building, the 1 is three blocks up by Broadway and the 2 and 3 express trains stop two blocks East along Central Park North. There are five buses that ply down Fifth Avenue and from Penn Station up Madison to the Cloisters on 204th past all three Columbia campuses on Broadway. One goes all the way to the Costco on the East River and another comes up Sixth Avenue from the Village. The M10 goes up and down Central Park West. There are also several cabs, Ubers, Lyfts and Columbia campus services. The building has a garage with a wait-list, but there area others in the area.

Central Park would be your front yard with a freshly built Davis Center and modern swimming pool as well as renovated Conservatory Gardens with old-world charm from Italy, France and England. There is also Morningside Park behind the building with a farmers" market every Saturday and a waterfall. The condominium also has it's own gardens which are carefully planted with seasonal flowering plants, a recreation room and two rooms that can be reserved for parties.

A truely convenient location and great home with a view, it will not last long, so call now for an appointment!
