A peaceful oasis in the heart of historic Chelsea, situated just one short flight up in a free standing, 19th century Carriage House (the original Thomas English Muffin Bakery circa 1850), this charming 1-bedroom home is a rare find. With windows front to back, the N/S exposures bathe the apartment in sunlight throughout the day and provide treetop views from each room. The renovated, windowed kitchen features mahogany countertops and wooden cabinets, a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, a stainless steel refrigerator and custom wine fridge. Banquet seating creates a wonderful dining area open to the living room, perfect for entertaining and complete with a 52-inch flat-screen TV, pre-wired with a Bose surround sound system. The primary bedroom has a private dressing area and built-out, California walk-in closet. No detail has been overlooked in the refurbished, windowed bathroom featuring a double steam shower, custom storage and a washer/dryer. Other features include beautiful wide-plank hardwood floors, shuttered windows and custom window shades. This intimate, 11-unit coop boasts a landscaped, cobblestone courtyard and garden shared by residents. There is a video surveillance system and pets are OK with board approval.
