Description

Twenty-eight years.

That's how long my family and I have lived in apartment 226/227. That's how long it's been our home.

Back then, our daughters were ages three and one when we first moved in to our new three-bedroom two-bath apartment. We had fallen in love with the size -- almost 1800 sq ft space that had been combined from two smaller apartments a few years before.

We settled in and as months turned to years and as we laughed together, shed a few tears together and most importantly, grew together we made the space our own.

We turned the southern facing wing into a singular childrens suite with two private sleeping areas separated by a center playroom for the girls to enjoy. (That room, by the way, can easily be converted to a sun-filled living room but more about that in a bit.) We also turned one of the other rooms into an oversized home office.

Now that the girls have become grown (and delightful) women, weve decided its time for us to downsize. And it's time to turn over this wonderful place to someone else who will fill it with their own stories.

We could have renovated it before deciding to sell. But given the myriad of imaginative ways to re-create this space, we decided to leave that in your hands.

We did, however, want to give you a head start. We commissioned several alternative floor plans to showcase a few possible options. Want a 4-bed layout that still leaves generous space for the common area? Whatever you decide, you'll be amazed by the flexibility this floor plate provides. We also priced the apartment to give you plenty of room to put in whatever level of renovations you desire.

They say home is where the heart is. I also know that your heart is where you make your home. Bring your vision (and your architect) and create a place for your heart to live and grow in.
